Deputy Manager, Cost & Contract
Responsibilities:
- In-charge of all pre and post contract documentations including taking off of tender, follow-up on tender, lead on cost study preparation, gather Contractors’ and Consultants’ quotations for Management’s approval.
- Dealing with consultants, Contractors in dissolving issue pertaining to the contracts.
- Assist project team on matters relating contract administration and project procurement.
- Preparing feasibility studies, budgeting, cash flow projection for development projects.
- Adopting value engineering for alternatives to increase functionality and cost effective.
- Compile and prepare recommendations for award of work packages within the budgeted cost and targeted timeline.
- Prepare contractors’ and consultants’ progress claims, final account, valuation of contract works and familiar with contractual claims.
- Prepare and update Project Feasibility/Budget regularly.
- To play an active role in value engineering.
- Monitor, review and manage Contractors’ and Consultants’ performance effectively.
- Perform other ad-hoc assignment and any other duties as assigned by the Management from time to time.
Education, Experience & Skill Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma, Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, or any technical degree related to property development.
- At least 6 years of related working experience for Assistant Manager/ Senior Executive position.
- Candidate with experience in property developer/ real estate is an advantage for this position.
- Ability to function as an effective team member where he or she can rapidly adapt to the corporate culture and be valued as a team member.
- Able to work independently and efficiency with less supervision and hardworking.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project & AutoCAD).
- Strong proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken). Additional language skills, including Mandarin, are considered an advantage for effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
