Senior Executive, Finance

Responsibilities:

  • To manage full set of accounts including preparation of tax planning, tax return and financial statements.
  • To manage the cashflow including ensuring sufficient funds in meeting payment obligations and placement of excess funds in interest-yielding financial products, where applicable.
  • To liaise and work closely with key stakeholders including but not limited to senior management, other departmental heads, bankers, auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries, where applicable.
  • To ensure accuracy and timely reporting in accordance with established standard policies and procedures.
  • Oversee dormant accounts (as assigned) such work include payments ensuring timely and accurate generation of monthly/quarterly accounts, handling of audit and tax matters etc.
  • Assist in liaison with external auditors to finalize the annual audit and ensuring the statutory accounts are promptly submitted to Company Secretary for filing to SSM.
  • Prepare the management account of all companies to ensure compliance to accounting standard, and other regulatory (ie.: GST, SST, Income Tax Act, etc).
  • Manage and monitor daily operational functions of the Finance & Account department.
  • To ensure quarterly KPKT report is submitted in timely manner.
  • Understands and applies all policies implemented by Setia Awan to any personal data received, used, transmitted, processed, or stored.
  • Ensures that personal data is not disclosed to any unauthorized third party without obtaining clearance from the Management.
  • Ensure to adhere to the group SOP/ procedure and all work and data is all filled and installed according to the Group Quality Management System/ SOP, both digital and hardcopy.
  • At all time, maintain and remain strict confidentiality with high integrity in all matters related to the Director and Company.
  • Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by The Management.
  • Review & approve operational financial data and reports.
  • Review and approve all operational financial and accounting processes.

  • Apply a thorough understanding of recurrent and capital financial terminology, policies and processes to planning, forecasting and budget preparation and management.

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of working, and management experiences in property development or related industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance and or professional qualification such as CA/ ACCA/ CIMA/ CPA/ ICAEW/ CFA or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge in treasury, financial instruments and banking regulations.
  • Well-versed with financial modelling using Excel.
  • Strong reference indicating good work ethic, values, and attitude.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail, with a good technical knowledge.
  • Self-motivation, result-oriented, problem-solving skills, confident, positive personality and good business acumen.
